If you spend time online, you know discussions get heated fast. People often talk past each other, and social media can make it worse. Now, X (what we used to call Twitter) is trying something different to help people find agreement instead of just fighting it out.
Most online platforms split people into groups that don’t agree. Community Notes, X’s tool to fact-check posts, was supposed to fix this. It lets regular users add extra information to tweets if something seems wrong or confusing. For a note to show up, both left-leaning and right-leaning reviewers must agree it “adds helpful context.”
